Generous quantities of malted wheat and caramel malt are used to brew Winter Lager, a classic weizenbock. Bock beers are known for their intense malt character, and there is no stinting of malt in the brewing. Two-row Harrington and caramel malts give Winter Lager its sweetness and body; the wheat malt also provides the beer's deep red-amber color. A traditional ale hop, Kent Golding, is added early in the brew to impart its aromatic bitterness. Classic lager hops, Tettnang and Saaz are added towards the end of the brew.

In the style of: Samuel Adam’s Winter Lager
