Black & Tan is a traditional drink of the English pub scene. It is a blending of pale ale and stout. A trained bartender can blend the two styles, maintaining a style/color separation in the mug due to the different gravities of the beers. Our beer will be deep, deep amber in color, and will exhibit the fruity esters that are characteristic of ales. It will be hopped more aggressively than a medium dry stout. Carbonation and head retention properties are comparable to a pale ale, with a floral, estery, and aromatic profile from dry hopping.
