We have changed the name from Chico to High Sierra but it is still the same great beer!

High Sierra Stout is a creamy and full-bodied example of this traditional style of ale. Very dark and rich, this stout displays a pronounced roasted barley flavor. It is velvety smooth and irresistible, not unlike its Irish relatives, but is perhaps cleaner due to the strain of yeast employed. It is less fruity than most stouts, making it refreshingly different.

Commercial example: Sierra Nevada Stout
