Irish Stout - Draught

Irish Dry Stout

Color International Bittering Units Alcohol
61 60 +/- 5.6

Irish Dry Stout is largely produced at present by the Guinness brewery in Ireland. It is less sweet than the "sweet" styles of stout. The types of stouts are many, from the powerful bitterness of the oyster stouts, to the creamy sweetness of the milk stout. Irish Dry Stout is a full-bodied, opaque black beer, whose color and flavor are produced by the use of a generous helping of roasted barley, and an aggressive hop rate creates the bitterness. It has a creamy, long-lasting head, and the nose will be very malty, with little hop aroma.
