Chilean Carmenere | ||||||||
|
The Maipo district is located in Chile’s Central Valley, the
oldest and most traditional wine region. It is renowned for quality viticulture,
enjoying an abundance of sunshine with moderate temperatures and the unique
aspects of the Andes whose cold night air encourages slow maturation. The
Maipo’s terroir with its sandy, calcium-rich soils, warm dry summers and
easygoing winters brings out the best in native grape varieties like
Carmenère.
Chilean Carmenère offers liberal flavors of fresh blackberries plums and vibrant spice notes. Assertively full bodied, this exquisite wine treats the palate to the richness of toasted oak with smooth silky tannins and succulent dark fruits. An excellent balance between freshness, fruit and structure gives an ample and impressively persistent finish. This kit makes 6 gallons (23 liters) of wine. Body: 8 Oak: medium | |||||||
