Briess 2-row Brewers Malt yields a slightly higher extract than 6-row Brewers Malt.

2-row Brewers Malt tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer.
Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor.

2-row Brewers Malt tends to have a lower protein and will yield a lower color than 6-row Brewers Malt.

2-row Brewers Malt may be used as a base for all beer styles.

The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts without altering brewhouse procedures.
